Clement Heck

is an accomplished explorer, photographer and writer based in Wichita KS.

The kid who never quite fit in, the kid who was always wandering off. The one that never really had a real friend stick around for long. The kid who changed his entire personality just to feel accepted and cared for, staying up until the morning hours desperately trying to fathom what was wrong with him. I was that kid. I remember staring up at the towering city lights from the day I started taking photos, finding comfort in the lonely alleyways below. I had longed for years to prove that I was worth something. I would do whatever it took to show the world maybe I wasn’t so bland. These photos are more to me than just a roof or a cityscape; they are a symbol of my accomplishments and my growth as a human being. I am no longer that kid. I realize that maybe some people are not created to confine themselves to social norms. And maybe that is not such a bad thing. Here you can find a selection of art I have created throughout my lifetime. Please take a second and enjoy it.

It's only after we've lost everything that we're free to do anything.

For the kids like me.

I did this for you…

It's only after we've lost everything that we're free to do anything.
